EVENT DESCRIPTION
Join us in recognizing the exemplary accomplishments of individuals and organizations in our community at the 13th Hazara Achievement Award (2019) hosted by the HRC and affiliated partners: Markaz-e Talimi-wa Farhangi Ummat (Ummat), Wahdat Guardian Org (WGO), and Women Initiators (WI).
- Event is FREE and open to everyone
- Seating is limited and available on a ‘first come, first get’ basis
ELIGIBILITY
The Achievement Award is open to all current and former residents of the community enclaves in Quetta (including those working there) regardless of their current residency location, nationality, religious affiliation, gender, color, or ethnic origin.
AWARD CATEGORIES AND SELECTION CRITERIA
- Social Activism (2 Awards)
Active involvement in community development programs. It can be an individual, a group of individuals working together, or an organization.*New* For HAA2019, a second award may be awarded at Committee’s discretion. The award is focused on recognizing ‘out of the box’ community work by individuals, group, or an organization. Nominations for this award either comes through community’s feedback and/or through recommendation by the HAA Committee. - Arts/Literature/Culture (1 Award)
Outstanding achievement in Arts, Literature, and Culture. Example: Published authors of work that significantly benefits the community, artists representing the community at national or international level, etc. It can be an individual, a group of individuals working together, or an organization. - Sports (1 Award)
An athlete or an athletic-based organization with national and international accomplishments. - Specialization (1 Award)
Outstanding achievement in Research and Inventions, etc. Examples: Published authors of work in reputed professional journals that significantly benefits the community, research receiving accolades from professional community at national or international level. Achievement in Central Superior Services (CSS) can also be part of this category. - Education (Multiple Awards)
The Education award is designed with the help of our affiliated organizations and distinguished board members actively working at the grass roots for several generations. We constantly tweak this award to make it thoughtfully competitive for our applicants with diverse educational background applying from all over the world.
